Over 40 years ago, Giuseppe (Joe) and Maria Ruscigno opened a small shop in Little Italy with the original purpose of serving their traditional Italian neighborhood. Today, alongside their son, Anthony, the trio provides all of New York with authentic culinary techniques and delicacies from Italy. Their Bronx Italian market serves sandwiches made daily with fresh ingredients, including, of course, Joe’s homemade mozzarella, which he’s been making since he was nineteen. Alongside sandwiches, Joe’s offers catering and imported items at reasonable prices, like cheeses, meats, pastas, oils, vinegars, sauces, sweets, and much more. There’s something for everybody at our Italian deli with our menu of over 40 types of sandwiches. Our ingredients range from gorgonzola and prima donna to capicola and buffalo chicken, but the result is the same – an Italian experience you won’t forget. For those needing to serve a larger group for lunch, we also offer specials for groups of over ten.
